Trainee barrister first Apprentice to go

Nicholas de Lacy-Brown has spoken out about his experience of being the first to be booted off The Apprentice.

The trainee barrister failed to impress Sir Alan Sugar after the first task on the new series of the reality show.

The 23-year-old said: "I feel a mixture of disappointment at being the first to go and relief to be out of there. I am glad to have saved my reputation which I will need to become a lawyer."

At the beginning of the programme 16 eager contestants were split into two groups and sent off to sell fresh fish on the streets of London.

De Lacy-Brown, who was on the losing team, admitted to finding the process "stressful and traumatic".

He added: "Sir Alan and I were like chalk and cheese and I felt like a fish out of water if you'll excuse the pun.

"I soon realised it wasn't really for me and so did Sir Alan. Being on the show definitely made me realise I'm a lawyer through and through."

The Apprentice sees business hopefuls battle it out for the chance of winning a £100,000 salary as one of Sir Alan's recruits.
