A remake of schoolgirl comedy St Trinian's has opened in cinemas across the UK, starring Rupert Everett and Colin Firth.
Everett, who last appeared in Stardust, said he took inspiration from the Duchess of Cornwall for his outing as the cross-dressing headmistress.
He said: "I wanted to be an upper class battle axe basically, so she was gonna be very tweedy...and at the same time, kind of a bit out there."
He also stars as the headmistress's brother in the duel role most memorably played by Alastair Sim in two of the original St Trinian's movies.
Colin Firth plays an MP hoping to turn the school into another institution when the school is threatened with bankruptcy.
The Belles of St Trinian's begin as a cartoon series before being re-made into a number of films.
