Samuel L Jackson's youthful secrets

Ahead of his 60th birthday, Hollywood actor Samuel L Jackson has revealed how he keeps his youthful appearance.

The Pulp Fiction star said he does not feel like he is approaching 60.

"When I was a kid, I used to talk to my grandfather's brothers and when they'd say how old they were I was like 'you're so old'," he said.

"I'll be sixty this year so when I look in the mirror it's not what I expected to see when I heard the words 'Sam at 60', so maybe I do look a bit younger."

Jackson's new flick, Lakeview Terrace, has just been released.

He plays Able, a policeman who menaces and harasses his neighbours, a mixed-race couple, with Smith taking a back-seat and producing the flick.

Jackson said it was difficult to decide if his character was a true "bad guy".

"Some people look at Able as the bad guy at certain points in the movie. But there are also points in the movie where you relate to him."
