REM to headline T In The Park

REM, The Verve and Rage Against The Machine have been announced as this year's T In The Park headliners.

The three acts will lead the three day festival which takes place at Balado, Kinross between July 13-15.

Other acts confirmed for the Scottish festival include Kings of Leon, Kaiser Chiefs, Chemical Brothers, Stereophonics, The Fratellis, The Kooks, KT Tunstall, Biffy Clyro and Amy Winehouse.

The Verve are already set to headline Glastonbury while REM return on the back of their new album Accelerate, which is due out next month.

Rage Against The Machine's slot meanwhile, will be their first in the UK since they reformed last year.

Tickets for T In The Park go on sale on Saturday morning at 9am.
