REM announce summer shows

REM have announced plans to play four huge outdoor summer concerts.

The rock giants have lined up dates in August at Lancashire County Cricket Club in Manchester, Cardiff Millennium Stadium, Southampton Rose Bowl and Twickenham Stadium.

The shows come as the band prepare to release their new album Accelerate next month.

The band recorded their forthcoming album in Ireland and Canada with producer Jacknife Lee.

The rock giants also recently confirmed plans to headline this year's T In The Park festival at Balado, Kinross between July 13-15.

Tickets for the shows go on sale on Friday, February 29.
