In his portrayal of Richard III, Shakespeare created one of theatre's great villains.

Using the play's continued relevance, the first ever arabic production at the 'Royal Shakespeare Theatre' in Stratford sets the story in an oil rich gulf state.

And to bring the parallels into sharper relief, 'Richard the Third - An Arab Tragedy' is showing alongside a new English version - all part of the theatre's festival of the 'Complete Works' of Shakespeare.
