New York City Ballet, founded by legendary choreographer George Balanchine, is back across the pond for the first time in 25 years.
They open at the Coliseum in London tonight, and during a 10-day residency will dance a mixture of their classic and modern repertoire.
Famous for introducing daring new choreography and bold new steps to the ballet world, they are regarded as one of the major influences on ballet in the twentieth century.
