Oscar winning filmmaker Martin Scorsese describes Michael Jackson as "watching quicksilver in motion".
Scorsese, who directed Jackson's music video for Bad, also paid tribute to the star's "absolute mastery of movement".
Jackson was a star whose extraordinary abilities were exemplified by the entirety of his performance: he took the pop video to a whole new level and inspired as many dancers as he did musicians.
Steve Barron, who directed Billie Jean, reflected on Jackson's dancing talent.
