To mark the 30th anniversary of Elvis Presley's death, Channel 4 News online presents 10 winning facts about the King.
1. Until his late teens, Elvis was blond.
2. His hobbies included collecting guns: he amassed 40 weapons before his death.
3. He memorised every line from the George C. Scott film, Patton.
4. More than 50,000 people make a living as Elvis impersonators.
5. He was named a 'Special Federal Narcotics Agent' by Richard Nixon.

7. He recorded more than 600 songs but he did not write a single one of them.
