Atonement is sweeping the board, picking up seven more nominations at the Critics' Circle Film Awards.

The film's already picked up seven nominations for the Golden Globes, but the CCF awards honour the best of British and international film-making.

Knightley received a nod for best actress, alongside Samantha Morton for Control, Julie Christie for Away From Her, Helena Bonham Carter for Sweeney Todd and Sienna Miller for Interview.

Contenders for British film of the year are Atonement, This Is England, Eastern Promises, Control and Once.

Meanwhile, acting honours will go to either James McAvoy for Atonement, Sam Riley for Control, Christian Bale for 3:10 To Yuma, Jim Broadbent for And When Did You Last See Your Father? or Jonny Lee Miller for The Flying Scotsman.

Mariella Frostrup and Paul Gambaccini will host the awards ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on February 8, in aid of the NSPCC.
