A film which was only partially completed before director Anthony Minghella's death will be finished.
The 54-year-old Oscar winner died earlier this month from complications following surgery for cancer of the tonsils and neck.
One of the projects he was working on was New York, I Love You.
Director Shekhar Kapur said his friend Minghella asked him to take over shortly before his operation.
Kapur described the film as a story about the value of life, and said he would work on it with Anthony in his heart.
The drama brings together 12 stories, with actress Scarlett Johansson reportedly set to direct one segment.
