Heather Mills has lashed out at media reports about her life, saying she's "had enough".

In an interview with GMTV, the former model, who's currently embroiled in a bitter divorce battle with Sir Paul McCartney, said everything that's been written about her over the past year has been "rubbish".

"I've so had enough," she said. "I've had 18 months of absolute abuse."

In reference to a story recently written about her, she said: "They tried to ruin my daughter's birthday party - which I spent ages organising - saying I'd killed the dog next door, which is a complete load of rubbish.

"It's just like, everything they write is complete rubbish."

The 39-year-old likened her treatment to that of Princess Diana and Kate McCann and said she had received death threats.

She added she had been "close to suicide" and called on the public to stop buying newspapers. She accused a "certain corner" of feeding spin to the media to smear her.

She said: "I've had worse press than a paedophile or a murderer and I've done nothing but charity for the 20 years."

When asked about her divorce case with Sir Paul, Mills said she has been "offered nothing" and faced a legal fees amounting to £1.5 million.

However, she said she was unable to discuss it for legal reasons, explaining: "I'm gagged at the moment because I'm not allowed to say a word while the media are fed this spin by a certain corner."

She also said reports that claimed she wanted to sell her story were "rubbish".

"I can sell my story right now. I'm trying to protect Paul and our daughter. I am trying, and I'm being pushed to the edge."
