Research commissioned by More4 News shows that Facebook, Bebo and MySpace are respectively attracting specific social groups, of certain ages, living in different areas
The biggest social networking site, Facebook, started out life as a network for university students. It was a way for them to message friends, share photographs and organise events.

British-founded Bebo offers a similar service but aims at a younger audience and allows users to create highly personalised profiles.
MySpace, owned by media mogul Rupert Murdoch, was once the most popular social network, but it is now smaller and has cornered the niche music market.
If you are over 30 and live in London the chances are you will be meeting your friends on MySpace but if you are young and from Northern Ireland or Scotland, Bebo is your digital destination of choice.
