Richard and Judy's phone-in quiz apology

Updated on 19 February 2007

By Sue Turton

Apologies all round after Richard and Judy's show is accused of not playing fair in a phone-in quiz.

You Say - but should You Pay? Channel Four has agreed to refund callers to Richard and Judy's popular phone in quiz - if it's established they've been cheated of their money.

The 'You Say, We Pay' game stands accused of encouraging viewers to phone a premium rate number - even though the winner had already been chosen: raking in thousands of pounds as a result.

The programme makers Cactus TV have laid the blame at the door of the firm that deals with the calls - who in turn say they told the production company of the problem earlier this year.
