A Commons committee report attacks TV phone-in quiz shows for misleading viewers.

It's a booming industry which makes TV companies tens of millions of pounds year.

But phone-in quiz shows have been sharply criticised today by a group of MPs.

The Labour-dominated Commons culture, media and sport committee says the programmes are more like gambling than games of skill - and usually with poor odds of winning.

They also accuse producers of misleading viewers, and say the whole industry needs tighter regulation.
