Relief workers call for more aid to Gaza
Updated on 25 January 2009
While pressure mounts on the BBC to reconsider airing a Gaza appeal, relief workers struggle to provide aid on the ground. Inigo Gilmore reports from Gaza city.
More than 50 MPs say they'll back a parliamentary motion urging the BBC to broadcast an aid appeal for the victims of the bombings in Gaza.
The Archbishops of Canterbury and York also urged the broadcaster to backtrack - saying the appeal was about "humanity". Channel 4, ITV and Five are all screening the appeal tomorrow.
But relief workers in Gaza are more concerned about getting food and supplies to those who deperately need it.
