Channel 4 News provokes a clash with Beijing officials as the International Olympic Committee refuses to answer questions about China's human rights record.

The Chinese authorities promised to set aside special protest parks, allowing dissenters to voice their feelings, but this programme understands no permits have been granted so far and many of those applying have been detained.
