eBay sellers hacked off

The site has spawned internet millionaires the world over. But today hacked-off eBay sellers in the UK are on strike in protest at charges introduced by the online auction giant to attract more buyers.

eBay has also moved to reduce the visibility of its Shops listings, which until now have effectively allow sellers to open an online shop and to display a range of items on one page.
Shop-based sellers are complaining that eBay, by hiking charges and reducing shop visibility, has subjected them to a double whammy.
But the online auction giant says it wants to 'rebalance the marketplace' in favour of its 'core platform' - buyers who currently find it harder to find what they want under the existing system.
In October eBay.co.uk launches eBay Express, which lets 'approved merchants' set up shops selling new products at fixed prices. It claims this will make it quicker and easier for shoppers to buy new goods at a set price.
