Each Friday for one month Channel 4 News will showcase films by promising young journalists as part of Channel 4's New Talent season.

Anila Khanna is 21 and has just finished a BA in journalism at Nottingham Trent University. She is from Nottingham and wants to work in production.

There may be more than a thousand gay muslims in the UK alone, but homosexuality is still regarded as one of the biggest Islamic sins. In a year marking the 10th anniversary of the first Gay Muslim group, Al Fatiha, Anila Khanna explores what it means to be Muslim and gay in Britain.

Michael French has just finished a journalism course at the University of Lincoln. He comes from Essex and was the reporter, cameraman and editor of his film.

Most of us enjoy a drink or two at the pub after a long day's work and often a friendly game of pool to go with it. But now a revolutionary new pub pastime is on the horizon. A new computer system allows players to control games through mobile phones, and has been developed and tested at the University of Lincoln. Michael French reports.
