High-definition is the crystal clear image of the future.
But while few of us currently get to see our television and DVDs in such style, the technology battle to provide it has taken a dramatic turn.
It's down to two big players: Sony and Toshiba, who have both launched DVD formats in high-definition.
But now Sony's Blu-Ray DVD sales are outselling Toshiba two to one. And it's all down to Playstation 3. So what does it mean for viewers?
