Meat Loaf reportedly had to receive medical treatment after suffering vertigo at the Q Awards.

The 61-year-old star made a bizarre appearance on stage, when he appeared to almost fall over.

He reportedly tripped up the steps before clipping the microphone with his face and almost collapsing.

On the red carpet he said: "I've got to go to the doctor right after this is over. I suffer from vertigo. I woke up this morning in a spinning vertigo. When you wake up and the room starts moving around on you, you know you're in trouble."

The multi-platinum and Grammy-award winning singer was at the awards to receive the classic song award for his epic Bat Out Of Hell.

He is known for some of the biggest-selling albums of all time as well as the long chart duration of his records.

He has sold more than 70 million albums worldwide.
