Producer Mark Ronson will perform onstage with Duran Duran at the Lovebox festival.

Ronson, whose previous clients include Amy Winehouse and Robbie Williams, agreed to the gig after working with the '80s legends on their new album.

The performance is scheduled for Saturday, July 18, the opening night of the festival in Victoria Park, east London.

Ronson said: "They are in my blood. I'm a kid of the '80s. I was sort of ten or 11 when those first Duran records came out and I had the Smash Hits sticker book."

He said the band's new material "sounds like the imaginary follow-up to Rio that never was - it really does sound like 1984".
