Latest Batman movie beats the economic downturn

Cinema goers in America are flocking to see the latest Batman movie, The Dark Knight, which has its premiere here tonight

Despite the global economic gloom the film has broken all box office records in the US, making it the biggest Hollywood weekend of all time.

In times of hardship, it seems the movie business may be recession proof.
