Jacko invites fans to pricey party

Updated on 05 March 2007

Michael Jackson is trying to raise cash by appearing at parties and charging £60 a second even though he will not sing.

The King of Pop is in Japan where he is advertised to appear at a premium VIP party but it will cost fans £1,800 for 30 seconds.

For that kind of money you might expect to hear the Thriller star perform at least one of his hits, but organisers are promising no more than a few words from Michael.

A website claims fans with platinum tickets will get the chance to have a photo taken with the Thriller star and get his autograph while dancers, bands and gospel singers are booked for the event.

The party might be pricey, but some fans may be willing to part with the cash judging by the hysteria Jacko caused when he touched down at Narita airport.
