Hoffman pulls moves at premiere

Dustin Hoffman traded martial arts moves for romantic gestures as he stepped out on the red carpet to promote his new animation flick with Jack Black.

With the absence of Kung Fu Panda stunning co-star Angelina Jolie, who stayed in France with partner Brad Pitt, Hoffman charmed and kissed interviewers at the German première.

Fittingly, the event was held in Europe's only Shaolin temple.

Hoffman lends his voice to the Kung Fu master who trains Po, the main character, whose voice is supplied by Black.

The School of Rock star humoured those who came to see the stars on the red carpet with some of the moves he picked up from an original Tai Chi master:

Kung Fu Panda is the tale of blundering Po who has to save a threatened village from the evil snow leopard warrior Tai Lung.

The film has been greeted with very positive reviews from critics and is expected to be a box office success when Black and Hoffman arrive to launch the British première on Thursday.
