Filming The Take takes some bottle
Updated on 13 July 2009
Star of hit TV series The Take, Kierston Wareing, says filming with Tom Hardy is not for the faint hearted.
The pair appear as East End couple Freddie and Jackie Jackson in the gritty Sky1 adaptation of Martina Cole's best-selling gangster novel.
Bafta-nominated Kierston, 30, said: "There was a scene for instance, it was when we were both arguing and I just thought you're going to hit me in a minute.
"Obviously not on purpose but by accident because he's so into the role and so psyched up. And I just thought, if you do it, I'm going to go with it. But he didn't."
Given Tom's acting pedigree, perhaps it's little wonder he inspires a certain level of fear. He made his name playing Charles Bronson in Bronson, a biopic about reputedly the most violent prisoner in British penal history.
The Take is out now on DVD.
