Marvel Comics have shocked loyal fans by dumping Spiderman's loyal wife.
Spiderman is confronted with the dilemma of how to allow a superhero to age gracefully and very slowly, while keeping the attention of younger readers.
After all comic book heroes never die, they just start to grow out of those rather tight costumes.
