Family Affairs veteran Daniel Hyde, aka Jason Wilding, is to appear in new movie Clubbing to Death.

The drama, which opens in January 2007, revolves around a gangster who runs several of the biggest clubs in London and supplies drugs to all of them.

However, his decision to fleece his supplier incurs the wrath of a psychopathic American.

Hyde first became a familiar face in 2001, playing Scott Anderson in Hollyoaks.

He also appeared in an episode of Casualty last year.

There are more than a few familiar faces in his latest project, including Deepak Verma, best remembered as EastEnders' Sanjay Kapoor.

He also featured in Holby City and Doctors.

The rest of the cast includes Nick Moran, of Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels fame, Fun Lovin' Criminals frontman Huey Morgan, Lord Charles Brocket and FHM editor-in-chief Piers Hernu.

Jack Marsden, who played Emmerdale's Jimmy Batty back in 1997, has also signed up for the project.

And Big Brother 6 fans will spot Sam Heuston in her film debut.
