A new film about Welsh poet Dylan Thomas shows the darker side of the man, but receives the blessing of his daughter.

He is remembered as a charismatic and brilliant wordsmith. But a new film about Dylan Thomas will show a darker side of the Welsh bard.

Nevertheless, The Edge of Love, which portrays Thomas's relationship with his wife and two married friends, has still received the blessing of his daughter, who advised the actor Matthew Rhys how to play her poet father.

Set in the second world war, the film stars Keira Knightley, with a screenplay written by the actress's mother.
