The rules governing what can be entered for the movie industry's most prestigious awards are being tightened up.
From marching penguins to inconvenient truths, documentary films have recently been receiving as much critical acclaim as blockbuster movies. They have also been winning awards.
But are they the sort of documentaries that should be eligible for the Oscars? Channel 4 News reports from the Brit Doc festival in Oxford.
