According to Thai police, the 72-year-old star was found with a cord around his neck, in what his manager has described as an "accidental hanging".

Back in the 1970s, Carradine won cult status for his role as a loner trained by monks, in the hit tv series Kung Fu.

Then Quentin Tarantino gave him a taste of former glories when he cast him in a leading role in the Kill Bill films.
