The London-Irish playwright Martin McDonagh turns his darkly comic pen to his first picture In Bruges, starring Colin Farrell as a hitman.

In Bruges features Colin Farrell playing an assassin whose idea of hell is being sent to hide out in the city.

At 27 McDonagh became the first writer since Shakespeare to have four plays in London and he won an Oscar for his experiment with short film.

His shows have won Tonys on Broadway and Oliviers here in Britain.

Channel 4 News met this sometimes controversial writer and his new muse.
