Fox News v the White House: it's war

Its official slogal is "fair and balanced". But now the White House says Rupert Murdoch's Fox News network is anything but, as Sarah Smith reports.

A war has broken out between the Obama administration and the right-wing network news channel after the White House director of communications called it little more than a propaganda machine for the Republican party.

Fox News has more viewers than all the other US networks combined.

But its relentless attacks on the president, including calling him a racist on air, have infuriated the White House.
