The RAF today commemorated the wartime feats of the "Dam Busters". But is their fame justified? John Sparks reports.

The attack combined Barnes Wallis's ingenious bouncing bombs and the heroism of the crews flying low over enemy territory.

But 65 years on, is the Dam Busters any more than a great tale of bravery with a great theme tune?
