Golly gosh, Britain's favourite author isn't Dickens, Jane Austen or even Shakespeare but Enid Blyton.
A survey of 2000 adults carried out for the Costa Book Awards put classic children's author who created the likes of Noddy and the Famous Five top of the list.
The prolific writer has sold more than 500 million books around the world, but is she really still relevant?
