Updated on 03 September 2007
Elvis Presley has made a return to the charts with his 1956 hit Hound Dog.
The re-release, which was originally recorded by Willie Mae 'Big Mama' Thornton in 1953, entered the charts at number 14.
It comes as fans of the King marked the 30th anniversary of his death in August.
Meanwhile, Sean Kingston topped the singles chart with Beautiful Girls, pushing Kanye West into the number two slot with his track, Stronger.
The highest new entry was The Creeps (Get on the Dancefloor) by Freaks, which charted at number nine.
Other new entries included Natalie Imbruglia's Glorious at 23.
In the album chart, Newton Faulkner's Hand Built By Robots kept Amy Winehouse's Back to Black from the top spot. The soul singer's album climbed one place to take the number two position.
Former Beatle Ringo Starr was one of two new entries to hit the album chart, with his Photograph - The Very Best Of album charting at 26.
Hey Venus by Super Furry Animals charted at 11 while Maroon 5 climbed 24 places to 17 with It Won't Be Soon Before Long.
Kate Nash remained in the top ten with Made of Bricks, which fell one place to five.
The only new entry into the album chart was Rihanna's Good Girl Gone Bad, which jumped six places to number six.
