Birmingham gloom rockers Editors are back in London for a series of dates in Brixton.

The band said they love playing live and they recently described their set at this year's Glastonbury as "the best of their lives".

Singer Tom Smith said: "London crowds normally turn their noses up. But last time we came here, it was amazing.

"If you go further north you generally find people are more enthusiastic."

Guitarist Chris Urbanowicz added: "There's lots of hipsters here too and I think the reputation comes when you play to about 150 people.

"There are so many people in the city so people get on guest lists, they're a bit stand-offish and they have their arms crossed."

In two short years Editors have had two albums, a number of hit singles and made a name for themselves in the US.
