Duffy stays at the top

New singing sensation Duffy has won a head-to-head battle with X Factor star Leona Lewis to stay top of the single charts.

The Welsh queen of soul extended her run at number one to a fourth week with Mercy.

The rising star is also dominating the album chart with Rockferry, which is the fastest-selling album this year so far.

Duffy's second single was the first by a UK artist to reach number one solely on downloads.

Her success means Leona Lewis's song for Sport Relief, Better In Time, could only reach number two. The single is a double A side with Footprints in the Sand.

What's It Gonna Be, by H Two O featuring Platnum, goes down a place to three, with One Republic holding on to the fourth spot and Nickelback's Rockstar rounding off the top five.

One Republic's album, Dreaming Out Loud, is the highest new entry in the album chart at number two.

Nickelback stay third with All The Right Reasons, with Leona Lewis's Spirit rising 12 to take fourth place. Amy Winehouse goes down three places to five with Back to Black - The Deluxe Edition.
