The eager wait for the final instalment of the Harry Potter series is proving too much for many readers and publishers alike.

In the countdown to the July 21 release date, a glut of spoilers have been released which capitalise on so-called "Pottermania".

Books such as The End of Harry Potter? An Unauthorised Guide To The Mysteries That Remain by David Langford try to predict what will happen in the final novel about the world's favourite boy wizard.

But author of the series, JK Rowling has urged fans not to ruin the surprise by purchasing the spoilers.

Writing on her official website Rowling stated: "We're a little under three months away, now, and the first distant rumblings of the weirdness that usually precedes a Harry Potter publication can be heard on the horizon.

"I want the readers who have, in many instances, grown up with Harry, to embark on the last adventure with him without knowing where they are going."
