Celebrities to hijack new BB show

The details of the new show that will replace Celebrity Big Brother have been revealed.

Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack will see famous names from the world of show business takeover the bossy role of Big Brother.

Talented young people including scientists, Mensa members, athletes and acrobats will make up the group who will enter the house.

The new show will be hosted by Dermot O'Leary but the names of the celebs who will be setting tasks, handing out punishments, and listening to housemates in the Diary Room, have been kept top secret.

Channel 4 said: "The identity of the celebs taking part remains tightly under wraps, but their aim will be simple: putting their stamp on the activities in the Big Brother house and generally causing mischief."

The new house has been revamped and will now feature a neon purple Diary Room chair, a gym, and an intimate hot tub in the garden instead of the traditional pool.

Banksy-style stencilling and graffiti adorns the walls, and instead of the four-in-a-bed set-up of the summer, there are 12 single beds.

The new month-long series will be aired on E4 in January.
