Big Brother's Darnell Swallow admitted to "back-stabbing" his former friend Rex Newmark after nominating him for eviction.

The 24-year-old chef will now face the public vote after receiving a total of six nominations from his housemates.

Songwriter Darnell admitted his decision was a "betrayal" and said, "He totally doesn't want to be here - to him it's boring.

"He just wants to see his girlfriend and there are people who would have really wanted to be here."

Darnell voted alongside Lisa, Luke, Michael and Rebecca to seal Rex's fate.

The chef now tops the nominations tally, with 20 in the series so far.

He joins mother-of-two Belinda in facing the public vote, after being branded a "nosey parker" and "bossy" by fellow contestants.

Model Maysoon Shaladi also complained: "Whatever you do or say Belinda has always got something better to say - she'll just talk about herself."

Meanwhile, the odds on Big Brother being axed from British screens shortened recently after Australian TV chiefs pulled the plug on their version of the reality TV show.
