A copy of the original collection of Shakespeare's plays, stolen in Durham 10 years ago, is found in Washington DC. More4 News reports.

A copy of the first folio, the original collection of Shakespeare's plays, which was stolen from Durham 10 years ago, has turned up in Washington DC.

It's a story with all the familiar ingredients: a flawed protagonist, an act of overreaching ambition, a bit of punning over place names and a flagrant violation of all the unities of time and place.

All we need now is a few sets of identical twins and an ending full of lingering death for this to be a true Shakespearean event.

A copy of the first folio, the original collection of Shakespeare's plays, which was stolen from Durham 10 years ago, has turned up in Washington DC.

And a has been been arrested, also in Washington - but this time, Washington, Tyne and Wear.
