After a brief foray in Liverpool, the Turner Prize returns to London with a new challenging foursome of young hopefuls.
Nominees Runa Islam, Mark Leckey, Goshka Macuga and Cathy Wilkes will be judged by leading figures in the art world for the £40,000 Turner Prize; £25,000 for the winner and £5,000 a piece for the runners up.
Their work will be shown in an exhibition at Tate Britain opening on
7 October 2008. The winner will be announced at Tate Britain on 1 December 2008 during a live broadcast by Channel 4.
