Biography

Krishnan is the main anchor of Channel 4 News at Noon and regularly fronts the evening Channel 4 News.

He joined the team in 1998 after ten years at the BBC presenting, reporting and producing on a variety of programmes from "Newsnight" to "Newsround".

During that time he covered everything from wars and disasters to politics and pop music.

His broadcasting career started in his gap year before Oxford University when an appearance on BBC 2's youth discussion programme "Open to Question" led to him taking over as the programme's presenter.

As well as anchoring Channel 4 News Krishnan has been around Britain and the world reporting for the programme, from the Kashmir conflict to American politics and from the Omagh bombing in Northern Ireland to earthquakes in India and Turkey.

He also presented much of Channel 4's special coverage of the 9-11 attacks, the Afghan and Iraq wars and the Asian Tsunami. Most recently he was one of the first reporters at the scene of the Indian train bombings in February 2007.

He has also fronted a variety of programmes for Channel 4 including "Think TV", "The Channel 4 Political Awards" and "The Autopsy".
