Boris Johnson has won the Channel 4 News award for the person who made the biggest impression on the politics of 2004.

The award is presented in association with the Hansard Society to the person who topped our poll.

You chose the Conservative MP and Spectator editor from a shortlist of six that featured Jason Hatch, who scaled Buckingham Palace dressed as Batman, former Home Secretary David Blunkett, U2's lead singer Bono, former UKIP member Robert Kilroy-Silk, and Kimberly Quinn.
