Bremner Bird & Fortune: Series 5
Comedy

Published: 29-Jan-2004
By: Bremner Bird Fortune

Each week Messrs Bremner, Bird & Fortune will be skewering the week's news for your delectation.

There's not much for Rory and the Johns to get their teeth into this season, with just Lord Hutton's report, a crucial vote on top-up fees pitching Old Labour against New, the Prime Minister possibly resigning, the New Hampshire Primary kicking off the American election campaign, Parmalat, BCCI and the Bank of England embroiled in financial scandals, George Bush building a moonbase and heading for Mars, the poor old Beagle still not responding and Roman Abramovich buying anything that moves.

And that's just show one.

Ably assisted by Cherie Blair, Tony's new spin doctor Dave Hill and the Rory's traditional cast of thousands, the new series features exclusive behind the scenes footage from Number 10 Downing Street, George W Bush and Condi contemplating re-election from the Oval Office, a Caspian travelogue courtesy of Cook's Tours and a tantalising glimpse of intelligent life on Mars.

Oh, and a short appearance from feisty Labour Party Chairman, Ian "Big Mac" McCartney.
