Another week, another batch of fledgling singles are born into the big bad world of pop. So let's see if anyone's got a hope of kicking Mika off his perch, because frankly it's getting boring...

Dragonette 'Jesus Doesn't Love Me' EP (Mercury)
Dragonette will be huge. We promise. Why? Because they sound like they've written all their songs for an electro Abba tribute album. Because they're from Canada. Because they consist of three boys and a female singer. Because they've studied the pop blueprint inside out. Rather bizarrely, the lead track on this EP, 'Jesus Doesn't Love Me', isn't their number one single-in-waiting. That's 'I Get Around', which is also on the EP but is being released as a stand-alone single in April. We REALLY don't understand the charts any more...
