Quiz Terms And Conditions

The following are the specific rules ("Competition Notice") which together with the standard Channel 4 Website Competition Terms and Conditions ("Terms and Conditions") apply to this quiz on channel4.com ("Quiz"). By taking part in the Quiz, you agree to be bound by this Competition Notice and the Terms and Conditions, together referred to as the "Rules".

To take part in the Quiz, you will be required to answer questions. The Quiz questions will be generated at random from our database of over 400 questions. Every time you answer a question correctly you will be awarded 1 point. There will be no upper limit on the number of questions you can answer correctly. You will be awarded three lives when you begin the Quiz. Each time you answer a question incorrectly you will lose a life. When you have lost all your lives, or if you answer the final question in the Quiz, the Quiz will end.

When the Quiz ends you will be asked to register your details and save your score so that it appears on our leaderboard. You can only appear once on our leaderboard so only your highest score will be recorded. We reserve the right to delete your name and score from the leaderboard if you use offensive or defamatory language in your screen name.

Channel 4 accepts no responsibility for lost connections due to the site being unavailable or otherwise. Lost connections during a Quiz session will be deemed as your having exited the Quiz and all points will be lost. Channel 4 accepts no responsibility for lost connections due to the registration/login system being unavailable for any reason, even if this results in a Quiz score failing to be recorded on the leaderboard.

In the event of any dispute regarding the Rules, conduct or the results of any Quiz, the decision of Channel 4 shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into. Channel 4 may disqualify you from taking part in the Quiz or winning any prizes if it has reasonable grounds to suspect you are guilty of unfair conduct or are in breach any of the Rules.

Channel 4 reserves the right to suspend the Quiz at any time without prior notice and to vary these Rules at any time in accordance with the Terms and Conditions.

The Quiz is protected by copyright. You may only enter the Quiz and are not entitled to copy or use all or any part of the Quiz on any other website or in any other way.

Neither Channel 4 nor any of its group companies are liable or responsible in any way for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment whatsoever suffered by you as a result of the Quiz or the unavailability, inaccessibility or operation of the Quiz howsoever caused. Nothing in these Rules shall exclude Channel 4's liability for death or personal injury as a result of its negligence.
