Leon and Adam began jamming together at about the age of 10 and set up a band at school. Meanwhile James was also in many different bands throughout his school career. Luke started playing keyboards at the start of 2005, influenced by new bands playing piano's like Keane and an alltime favourite Coldplay.

We all started jamming together early in 2005 and after about 6 weeks of being together we were all excited about the songs and sound we had produced in such a short space of time. We felt confident enough to enter a local battle of the bands at Grimsby College, bearing in mind we had only been together 6 weeks. At this gig we felt a bit out of our depth and in-experienced as there were bands involved which have been going for some years now. Unfortunately we came last and decided that if we are going to create an impact we need to improve and generate a style that we were all comfortable with. We decided to start from scratch and lock ourselves in the practice room for 9 months, pushing ourselves with a passion until we felt we were ready, and our songs we're worth listening to.

Our first ever gig was Friday 2nd December 2005 at The Matrix Club, Grimsby. We promoted the gig enormously telling friends family and anyone we could, growing confident that we had immediately made an impact on the local music scene, after giving the venue a turnout like never before and being offered to headline our next show.

From then on we were picked up by a small local promotional label called Bigmouth Promotions and were were offered various gigs out of town to spread our music and fanbase. Our talent managed to get us a slot on the Star Attraction Battle of the bands at Grimsby Auditorium, which was one of many heats around the UK. to our suprise we were announced not only winners of our catagory but also overall winners of the whole competition with over 12 other bands competing, playing to a crowd of a few hundred people (the most we had ever performed too).

We then decided to record a demo at a small local studio: Grimsby Art & Design College, Westward Ho, Grimsby. The EP we recorded: THE BRIGHTLIGHTS EP, Dressing Room 3 includes '3', 'Stops and Starts' and 'Inspired by' which can be currently heard on our myspace profile. From these recordings we had gained alot of interest on myspace. Including lead singer of The Kooks, Luke Pritchard. He liked our music enough to send out a bulletin to his friends list of thousands and asked them to check us out. This helped us out alot, as people from all around the UK and further, were starting to notice our music.

From then on we have played alot more well known music venues such as The Ku-Bar, The Boarderline Club and Camden Barfly (which we were lucky enough to headline and also play infront of Feeder's lead singer Grant). Inbetween our first few out of town gigs, we were then approached by Gideon Palmer and Darrin Woodford who have had connections with bands like Feeder, Moloko, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and many others. They are now currently managing us and working to build a team around the band.

We are working on new songs all the time, improving our sound and love for music. Travelling and visiting places we never thought we would last year. We're unsure what tommorow may bring, but loving every moment of it!
