Talent and creativity are just part of the Seven Heroes phenomenon. They've rocketed to the forefront of their local North East scene in record time, fuelled by sheer focus and determination. The buzzword is 'different' and they certainly are.
Refusing to pigeonhole themselves in one particular genre, they cite influences as varied as 'roots music', Blur, Rage Against The Machine and Biffy Clyro. Comprising of Dan Gibson on lead vocals/guitar, Dave Smith on lead guitar/vocals, Jeremy 'Jez' Dickey on bass and Stu Gibson on drums and vocals. Seven Heroes are currently promoting their debut single 'Million Faces'. The band has gigged constantly since teaming up in May 2005, building a loyal following. From sell out dates at local Sunderland Uni and the acclaimed Richmond festival to sought-after support slots with the likes of The Kooks, Battle and The Golden Virgins, to little achievements like playing Newcastle Carling Academy and being told 'you can't have 50 more tickets to sell & it would be unfair on the other bands.' Fortunately, wisdom prevailed and the Academy invited the band back to do their own 'headline' show, for which they could have as many tickets as they liked. Subsequently, a confirmed 'sell-out' crowd witnessed their ascension from support act to headliner in a blisteringly energetic show that confirmed Seven Heroes as more than 'just a little bit special.' Oozing natural talent, from Dan's timeless vocals to Dave's impressive Hendrix-esque stage escapades, Seven Heroes have earned rave reviews and are definitely a band to be watched - assuming you can keep up with them! |
